Since our scheduled speaker had to cancel – Marilyn Elliott, our President, asked Ron Beamont to demonstrate a “Living Garden in a Window” and what a treat that was.
then Maureen Andersen took over for a “Show and Tell” about the workshop she will be doing with us in August in the South Innisfil Arboretum of the Hypertufa Trough for a Fairy Garden.

The judge for the evening was Maureen England, we had 68 Exhibits and 15 Exhibitors
Mona Rea earned a number of points by getting 1st place, Best in Show and the Award for the Best Peony in Show for her beautiful Tree Peony and Eveline Teras won 1st place and the Award for Best Iris among the 18 Irises in the show
Sue Sessford entered the flower show for the first time and is proudly showing us her 2nd place ribbon for her Iris and her 3rd place ribbon for her Peony and on the right is a close up of Mona’s Tree Peony
The Flower Show Schedule called for ‘Mix and Match’, a synergistic design – max 5 vases
In Design A, Jenni Murrell won 1st place and ‘Best in Show’ (top left) – notice the manipulated Aspidestra leaves – Mona Rea took 2nd place (bottom right) and Eveline Teras 3rd place (bottom next to Mona’s).
The second design was ‘Prosperity’, a mass design (traditional or modern)
