Judith Rogers, our Master Gardener, spoke on The Magic of Fairy Gardens – the new trend.
It was very informative and she sure kept the audience captivated with her explanation and pictures on the screen (that’s what she is looking at).
Agnes More won the fairy garden Judith very kindly donated. It was an amazing flower show we put on this time with 146 entries and 17 exhibitors (we only had 116 entries last year). The Flower Show Committee did an excellent job setting it up with Agnes More as Acting Chair. Marjorie Bell, our judge for the evening, had her work cut out trying to get the whole show judged in time – the difficulty in judging, she said, was that all the specimens were of such good quality that it was hard to find the best of the lot.
Marilyn Elliott, our President, won the award for the Best Lily. She also won 1st place with the ‘Hacksaw’ hosta.
Eveline Teras won the award for The Best Rose.
